H-1000 XP Fuel Cell Stack

University

In collaboration with SHELL Eco-marathon champions, Horizon has developed several generations of what would be considered the “ultimate” system aimed at maximizing the opportunity for podium placement. Customers of XP systems in the past 2-3 years have all achieved excellent rankings, including first, second and third place, in some cases, consecutively. Our latest generation H-1000XP has recently achieved a peak efficiency reaching up to 59% during real test with one of the teams in Asia. The system has been oversized and hydrogen purging frequency and duration have been greatly reduced.

Additional information

As with its sibling the H-500 XP, Horizon Educational requests that you complete a quote request form in order to obtain pricing information.  We can also provide proper delivery expectations should you purchase this fuel cell product.  Both of the fuel cell stacks in the XP Series are air cooled stacks and require a gaseous hydrogen purity of at least 99.995% in order to operate.

Fuel Cell and Hydrogen

Safety Requirements

Do not attach or detach power cables when the fuel cell stack is turned on. Warranty is void if the fuel cell stack is dismantled or otherwise modified. Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless, and flammable substance.  Always operate and store the fuel cell stacks and hydrogen storage canisters in an area with ample ventilation. Fuel cell systems should always be equipped with a highly accurate hydrogen sensor to detect any hydrogen that has escaped within the system or from the hydrogen storage canister. Please refer to the H-1000 XP User Manual to see the full list of the safety requirements for the product.
