The growing demand for energy in end era of manmade climate change may ultimately be the greatest challenge of the 21st century. We need the creativity, ingenuity and critical thinking skills of the generation coming of age today now more than ever. The Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix is a comprehensive science and engineering program that gives students from all over the world the opportunity to apply their talents as they learn about environmental sustainability, renewable energy and alternative fuels, through variety of science experiments and curricular materials.

Design. Build. Race!

Students must apply a wide range of foundational knowledge acquired in the first part of the program throughout the competition. Their task is to design, engineer and build their own fuel cell-powered RC car and test it during a 4-hour race. From the earliest conceptual stages to maintaining and repairing their car during the race, students are in control of every step of the process, enabling truly immersive experience that captures the rigor and excitement of real-world science and engineering.

H-Cell is not working 

Check all of the electrical connections, the H-Cell needs to be conected with the controller box and charged battery. 

The controller box need to be also connected to the white pressure controller. Once you’ve checked all electrical connections, check also the tubing and screw in two full Hydrostiks, then
turn on the switch on your ESC and switch on the controller box.

H-Cell stops working shortly after switching on

Check the connection of your purge (input/ouput) valves, the white plasting end shall be conected to the H-Cell side, if not, change the direction of the valves and turn on the H-Cell.

The car won’t turn on.
Check all the electrical connection, check if your battery is fully charged. If not, charge the battery and turn on the car.

Remote is not connected to the car

Turn off the car and check all of the electrical connections, the reciever needs to be connected to ESC and servo. Check also the position of the cables, the white wire needs to be conected to the signal port, red/black wires to the - ports. Push the LED and turn on the car, the LED on reciever shall start blinking, now turn the remote immediately. The beep sound will confirm the connection of the remote to your car.
